Curated Artworks
Most of what sells as sports art is memorabilia — a signed shirt, an enlarged press photograph, a poster. This collection starts somewhere else. Twenty-seven works in which sport is the subject of the work rather than its decoration: the body underwater, the horse in competition, the figure held in the air, balance kept without moving.
At its centre is Marta Moreu, a Barcelona sculptor represented by Galeria Jordi Barnadas in Barcelona, Galerie Arcturus in Paris and Espai Cavallers in Lleida, who has shown at St'Art Strasbourg, Art Chicago and Art Palm Beach. Alongside her, Nicholas Stedman, who studied under Zao Wou-Ki at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and whose 2024 solo show was at the Centro d'Arte Raffaello in Palermo, and Ilya Volykhine, a 2023 finalist for the Molly Morpeth Canaday Award.
From $1,750 to $29,540 — from a bronze figure that sits in the palm of a hand to one standing a metre and a half tall. Large works travel crated.
Everything ships unframed. Shipping is included worldwide and insured to the full purchase value, certificate of authenticity with each piece, fourteen days to return it.
